Workshops

We are inter-dependent spiritual beings living in a world tragically fraught with mistrust, exploitation, cruelty and inequity.

As we progressively awaken into refined awareness of the depth and sacredness of life, our consciousness of both the universality of need and our oneness with others matures. Our quests for inner peace and world peace become increasingly interwoven. We wonder how our spirituality relates to our politics.

In this workshop we explore the shifts in perspective and values that naturally emerge from the evolution of consciousness through spiritual practice and the implications of these changes for our interaction with the structures of power in this world.

We examine the common ethical teachings of the prophets of the world's major religions and investigate their universal source.

We consider the words and actions of politically active individuals with a spiritual basis for their lives such as Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, jr. and H.H. The Dali Lama.

The workshop experience includes discussion, guided meditation, and a unique and authoritative exposition of the direct relationship between the opening of the major prana chakras of raja yoga and the spheres of social and political engagement. A powerful method of attunement to inner guidance for answers to questions about ways to engage problems of local, national and planetary importance will be taught.

We will immediately begin applying our insights to some of the pressing social and political issues of the day.
